Gonna Get Yourself Into It

Please read the warnings before downloading.

To install:

  1. Download GlovePIE.
  2. Sync up your Wii Balance Board and Wiimote to the Bluetooth of your computer. To do that, simply go into Bluetooth Devices in Windows XP, add a new device, and press the Sync button on your Balance Board/Wiimote while Windows is searching. Hold down Sync while the devices are being installed.
  3. Extract the BodySurf ZIP file to a directory. Open GlovePIE and load bodysurf.pie.

To play:

  1. Click "run."
  2. Position the Balance Board where you want it to be, and don't stand on it. Put the Wiimote flat on a level surface and press "1" on the Wiimote without moving it, or press "c" on your keyboard.
  3. Launch Audiosurf and pick a song you want to play.
  4. Turn the mouse sensitivity way down; this is important. GlovePIE performs better this way than with a low sensitivity in the PIE script and a high sensitivity in game.
  5. Press left and right on the Wiimote D-pad until the voice says the name of the character you chose in Audiosurf. (Note that Ninja Mono is its own character separate from Mono, and Mono also works in Mono Pro mode. Default is Mono.)
  6. After you click "play", stand on the Balance Board. Press "2" on the Wiimote. Controls are now enabled and the board is now calibrated to wherever your current center of gravity was.
  7. Lean left and right to move your vehicle. See the controls page for more controls.
  8. To stop input, press the Home key. This doesn't pause the game, it just stops the Balance Board from controlling the game. Use this for when you want to step off the board. To resume, press Home again.
